My Dog Is My Home’s annual virtual conference brings together hundreds of nonprofit leaders, government representatives, individuals with lived experience, and advocates from across the country and around the world, all with the mission of creating more pet-inclusive emergency and affordable housing.

We especially encourage proposals from people with lived experience, BIPOC voices, and others from marginalized communities.

My Dog Is My Home's mission is to increase access to shelter and housing for people experiencing homelessness with companion animals. By securing their ability to maintain their most important relationships and find adequate shelter, we ensure every family’s right to build a home.
