My Dog Is My Home’s annual virtual conference brings together hundreds of nonprofit leaders, government representatives, individuals with lived experience, and advocates from across the United States and around the world.
At the My Dog Is My Home Conference, we convene to expand pet-inclusive emergency and affordable housing, so no one has to make the heartbreaking choice between a safe place to sleep and their beloved pet.
The My Dog Is My Home Conference features:
Dozens of presenters, including human services & animal welfare leaders
Panel discussions on pet-inclusive housing advancements
Storytelling by people with lived experience of homelessness
Breakout discussions addressing specific housing challenges
Networking with hundreds of nonprofit and government representatives

My Dog Is My Home Conference 2027
Virtual • April 20-22, 2027
My Dog Is My Home is now accepting proposals for the 2027 Conference.
Recommended topics include:
Fundraising for pet-inclusive programs
Data collection and metrics
Programs that spotlight specific populations (LGBTQ+, indigenous people, young people, people with disabilities, etc.)
Prevention of homelessness for people with pets
Community outreach and community-led interventions
We especially encourage people with lived experience of homelessness, voices from BIPOC communities, and others who identify with marginalized populations to apply.
